
About Hemsedal
Hemsedal is one of the most populair ski destinations in Norway. Snow parks, competition arenas and steep slopes, combined with challenging off-piste, make Hemsedal ideal for adventurous skiers of all ages.
Located in an imposing mountain area, Hemsedal is also called the Scandinavian Alps, with lots of snow during the long winter season (from November to May). Hemsedal has a wide selection of cabins, large houses and apartments, and most are located in the vicinity of the ski slopes and lifts.

Hemsedal and children
Hemsedal is an ideal destination for a family with children. It has the largest ski area for children in Norway, with 9 lifts and 7 children’s pistes and even a slalom and mogul slope and a piste with all kinds of animal figures. Kids are taught in a playful way to ski at the ski school of the resort. In addition, Hemsedal has a nursery for the little ones and day care (babysitter for children from 6 months old) from 9 am to 3.30 pm (please book in advance). This way, parents can also make a ski trip together without having to worry abut the children.
